From New Issue of Cosmo

So about a week ago I showed you guys the preview to the video for Katy Perry's new single "Firework".  After now viewing the whole video I must say I'm pretty impressed.  There's a whole lot there, family issues, sexual preference, and overcoming everyday battles in your life.  Now I'm not trying to say that this is necessarily innovative, Pink has done it with "Family Portrait", Kelly Clarkson "Because of You"; However, these topics are timeless and will always need to be brought to the forefront.  So kudos to Ms. Katy Perry, you've come a long way from "I Kissed a Girl".  What do you guys think of the video as well as the song and its message?

After taking the week off Glee came back this week with their Rocky Horror Picture Show episode.  Now, I'm not too familiar with the envelope pushing musical from the 70's but the show gave us a pretty good background of it and after a little research of my own I felt that the Glee kids did a pretty good job of recreating this over the top spectacle especially with the costumes.  This most likely wasn't much of a stretch sine Glee itself continually pushes the envelope with it's own material.  The ep as a whole was alright and I tend to disagree with Rolling Stone writer, Erica Futterman, it definitely was not the best ep of the season so far.  Personally, I think the season opener "Auditions"  or "Grilled Cheesus" were the best yet.  While as whole the Rocky Horror picture show Glee style, storyline was sort of flat (mainly revolving around Will trying to get Emma back by putting the production on since she is a fan), the musical numbers were really well done and I thoroughly enjoyed them.  The beginning of the episode with the singing lips was jarring but pretty cool as well, so kudos to Adam Shankman (Hairspray) for his interesting stylistic decisions in directing this episode.  In the end, I'm happy to walk away from the episode with a new favorite song, Damn it, Janet.  What did you guys think of the Glee Rocky Horror Picture Show?  Did it get you guys in the mood to dress in drag for Halloween or maybe even all year round?

“Don’t be pissed off I’m an actor - it’s not over,” Justin sang. “And when I come back, I’m gonna come harder / I’m doing me.”

This trailer left me speechless and will most take your breath away as well!  From Director Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire) comes 127 Hours.  The film stars James Franco as hiker/ adventurer Aron Ralston who gets trapped by a bolder at Robbers Roost, Utah.  The rest of the story is just extraordinary.  After five days Ralston decides to amputate his own arm, scale the 65 foot rock wall then hiked over 8 miles before he was rescued!  While the film is vaguely reminiscent of Into the Wild the premise seems much more uplifting and Franco is incredible!  Check out the movie poster and trailer here!

It seems like FOREVER since we've heard any big news about Ryan Gosling.  The last thing I vividly remember about the guy was his huge beard and his epic love affair with Rachel McAdams and who can forget the huge make out session and the MTV movie award when they won for best kiss.  Now we're on Ryan Gosling overload ( I see NO problems with this)!  Right now everyone seems to want a piece of the this stud.  Gosling will be appearing in All Good Things alongside Kirsten Dunst which looks AWESOME and right now he is working with break out star Carey Mulligan in the upcoming movie Drive.  Check out the All Good Things trailer and set pics from Drive here!

I'm SUPER excited for this spunky red head to hit the SNL stage this weekend.  This is something that Stone has outright said she has dreamed of doing.  She's super cute, SUPER funny and I think she'll rock her performance!  Permanent spot on the show maybe??!!  Alas, we can only hope.

Wow.  That's all I can say after seeing the cover to the upcoming issue of GQ feat. Glee cast members, Dianna Agron, Corey Monteith and Lea Michele.  I don't quite remember Glee club looking this fun or this sexy when I was in HIgh School!  While Agron was def. a little uncomfortable in the skimpy outfits Lea didn't seem to have any problems.  About the cast Lea says,

"If anything's going on in our lives, we have each other. One time, I was having a bad day, and I called Chris Colfer. He came over with a pint of ice cream and 'Madea Goes to Jail,' and it was, like, the best night of my life."

Be sure to pick up the new issue of GQ.  It will most def. having you guys out there perfecting your singing voices, that's for sure!  Check out Agron's and Michele's GQ photos here.
