It seems like everyone with a Mac and mic has a podcast these days.  And trust me I think it's great to have such an easy and accesible way to express oneself. But what sets apart the good one's??  The one's that if you wake up and if it's not synced with your ipod or smart phone you lose your shit! It all seems to come down to on thing, relatability.

Are the people you shove into your 'ear holes' as many like to put it, people you'd actually want to have a conversation with yourself?  In a time where radio's key purpose seems to be solely to promote albums you really have to make a conscious decision as to what you listen to.

For me, Podcast ARE the radio.  I throw on my favorites and zone out during my daily commute. The one's I really enjoy not only make me laugh but make think.  And 'Totally Married' INSTANTLY became one I couldn't be without.  Elizabeth Laime and her husband Andy tackle not only relationship questions but questions about life in general and the direction you're trying to go in.  And while they're not professionals,  they are poignant. Their advice is honest and real and that's the best thing about it.  So needless to say, I was pretty darn excited to chat with the woman behind the mic Elizabeth Laime about life, finding your way on the path to creativity and her love of the Golden Girls. It  was SUPER fun although I felt I had to refrain from berating her with questions for advice in my own life as a twenty something having a quarter life crisis!  Check out my chat with the bubbly funny woman and Podcast extraordinaire Elizabeth Laime!

When you begin to chat with Yogi Roth it's like catching up with an old friend you haven't seen in a while.  And with how much this guy travels it's probably not far from Yogi's chats with the people he's closest with in his life.  This also goes to show his warmth and welcoming tone.

 His enthusiasm radiates though his voice. Which seems to stem from Yogi's open minded view on life. The man welcomes every opportunity and wants you to do the same!

It may be Oscar season but that doesn't mean there isn't any room left for a fun popcorn film at the theaters! And that's just what you get when you go to check out Jack Reacher. The film, based on the mystery/thriller book series by Lee Child stars Tom Cruise in one of his best roles since Jerry McGuire with the action of Mission Impossible. 

The film, set in Pittsburgh starts out with gorgeous, sweeping shots of the city that are the best and most interesting shots of a city seen in a while.  They do an amazing job of drawing you in and then keeps your attention with what happens next.  A sniper takes down five people on the waterfront; however, this mass shooting is really to cover up the death of only one person, the snipers actual target.

Now while there's been some controversy over Cruise looking nothing like the 6 foot tall blonde protagonist of the book there is something to be said about the charisma that he brings to the role. He really makes the role his own and captivates you every scene he's in; although Jai Courtney, who plays the rival sniper to Cruise's Reacher character does a pretty great job keeping up Cruise.  Courtney is the most most charming and bad ass bad guy seen on screen in a while and expect to see more of him alongside Bruce Willis in A Good Day to Die Hard.

Writer/director Christopher McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects) per usual delivers gritty action scenes that make you wince and snappy dialogue that makes you chuckle. So if you need a break from the heavy issues of this years plethora of fantastic but dramatic films catch Jack Reacher while it's still in theaters!

Sure, we all know the Channing Tatum that has smooth dance moves, hilarity in honesty and a romantic side in his recent film over this past year.  But as the year quickly comes to an end, I bet it's safe to say you don't the Channing Tatum that hits up local sports bars or gets the crowd fired up at a Steeler's game on a  crappy rainy day. However, the past two months the actor, best known for his role from Step Up has been in and out of the Burgh filming his latest movie Fox Catcher and has caused quite the ruckus and 'Chandamonium' while doing so.  And I don't think I'm alone in saying that the city is happy to have him!
