Chris Colfer who plays the outrageously vibrant Kurt Hummel on Fox's hit show Glee will be taking the leap from the small screen to the big screen in the movie Lightning.  Colfer also help to write script for thre film as well.  With his presence bursting through our tv sets it was only a matter of time before Colfer made a move to the big screen.

Lighting will be executively produced  by Glenn Rigberg who manages Colfer.  It is said the project "captures the spirit of movies penned by the late John Hughes."  Since Colfer received an Emmy nomination for his role as Kurt he should have no problem transitioning and commanding the big screen.  Filming is set to start over the Summer while Glee is on hiatus.

As I've recently mentioned I wasn't necessarily the biggest fan of last season's True Blood but none the less am anticipating its return.  Casting news for season 4 has recently been released.  And while the names aren't huge any True Blood news is good news and fuels excitement for the upcoming season.  Check out who'll be joining the cast after the jump!

The hit HBO show True Blood may be on it's hiatus right now but the stars of the show are still very much in the spotlight.  The newly married co-stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer get cuddly at a dog park in L.A. What a cute way to spend your time off!  Despite last Season being less than stellar it certainly still had it's high point and one of the best villains yet.  Hopefully the shows return will kick it up a notch and get back to its badass ways!  Check out more photos after the jump.

Glee cast members Lea Michele, Corey Monteith, Mark Salling, Chord Oversctreet, Diana Agron and the rest of the cast (minus Chris Colfer) returned to a much warmer L.A. after performing on the hit British show X Factor.  While returning they attempted to avoid one obnoxious reporter who asked a bunch of asinine questions.  Despite that fact that this dude is an asshole he's certainly good for a laugh.  Check out pics, a video of the reporter encounter and also the Glee kids' performance on X Factor here!

So this installment of Shit You Missed This Weekend may be small but it certainly packs a punch!  We've got some Divas, a rowdy plane passenger and the next movie project for a  Harry Potter star.  Be sure to check out all the celeb-worthy news you missed while doing other, more important things this weekend.

Have you ever watched a show and thought, "wow, the social and economic ramifications of this program are an integral part of our society and there is a valuable lesson to be learned here."  Okay, probably not, but now you can.  Several Colleges have added courses dissecting some of televisions most groundbreaking and culturally influential shows.  Personally, I think it's a great addition to schools' curriculums and I for one didn't learn enough about the dynamic world of the small screen while in school.  Check out the list of TV classes after the jump. Trust me, this list will have you back in that super uncomfortable chair and taking notes in no time!

Wow, I just don't know what to say.  Glee continues on it's up and up trend.  The show hasn't had this consecutively good episodes since it premiered last year.  Now that the focus is back on the relationships that we care about the show has taken most definitely taken a "New Direction".

So this episode the Glee kids headed to Sectionals where they had to compete with their good buddy Kurt, who now attends Dalton Academy after being forced out of school by bully Karofsky.  Also, with Kurt gone the Glee club added a new member, Lauren Zizes.  Despite the fact, that The Prep school did a Train song it was surprisingly likable ( I guess Darren Chriss and a sweet a capella back up group can make any song sound good).

Ryan Murphy brilliantly has Kurt's school and the Glee kids tie at Sectionals in order to have them both squaring off at Nationals.  Now while Sectionals in the main event of the episode it really serves as the back drop to everything crumbling down around the Glee and its members.  Finn and Rachel breaking up due to her cheating, Emma marrying the dentist and Kurt ironically having trouble fitting in a school that he envisioned being so accepting.  Nothing depicts this better than the last number of the show "Dog Days Over".  Sadly, for the Glee Club members and their director they seem to be just beginning.  I give this episode an A+ solely based on the last song.
