The long awaited trailer of Zack Snyder's (300, Watchmen) Superman: Man of Steel trailer is finally here. After much hesitation I am ecstatic at the semblance of the kind of film we're going to get. Although there is not much footage, the gritty footage that we do get is fantastic! Although Snyder's track record has not been stellar as of late, he is super innovative and a great visionary.  And I feel under the tutelage of Christopher Nolan that Snyder will be able to reign in all of his ideas and tell a more coherent and concise story. In the end however, the real question is will this new attempt at tackling Superman soar above the its 2006 predecessor Superman Returns ??

So it's FINALLY here, after all the bootleg copies we have our first official copy of the Dark Knight Rises trailer! And I must say, I am ABSOLUTELY blown away (pun intended)! Bane sounds amazing and for all you Anne Hathaway haters you're gonna have to eat your words because she looks brilliant in this! And being in Pittsburgh while they filmed was incredible and seeing these shots in the trailer from the area was such a HUGE pay off!

New posters for the upcoming The Amazing Spiderman and The Dark Knight Rises were recently released and reveal dark depictions of the upcoming superhero flicks.  Now we've always known that Nolan's Batman movies have been grittier and focused more on realism but now it looks like the Spiderman reboot will be taking a similar approach.  The black and white shadowy images really pulled me in and I must admit, even got me a little more excited to see the new Spidey flick!

It's not everyday you get to walk by a movie set unless you're a college student in the Oakland area of Pittsburgh or someone who schedule that allows them to have a free afternoon and some time to kill! As a lot of you may know Pittsburgh has been the location for filming for the final installment of the new batman series, Dark Knight Rises. In light of this epic event the 'Burgh has been filled with Batman buzz! I recently had the opportunity to check out the location where Bane and Batman duke it out on the steps of Gotham City Hall and where Anne Hathaway posed for her recently released Catwoman pic!

With filming underway in Pittsburgh, Pa already we're getting TONS of images of the cast of the upcoming Dark Knight Rises! In the pictures we get to see Tom Hardy as a buffed up Bane and Christian Bale rehearsing some fight moves. there are however no photos of Anne Hathaway in the Catwoman costume yet, sorry fellas! Hopefully more details to come soon.

The final installment of director Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy Dark Knight Rises will begin filming in Pittsburgh, PA this Friday. Nolan and the star of the film Christian Bale sat down with members of the Press and the Pittsburgh Film Office to talk about the project. Here's what they had to say:

"There will be fighting on the streets a great deal." commented Bale. He continued, "Thank you so much for your generosity of spirit and hospitality ahead of time, and we'll try and stay out of your hair as much as possible and hopefully leave with good memories for everybody."

"I just want to take this opportunity before we start shooting -- we start tomorrow -- to thank really everybody in the city of Pittsburgh for the welcome that we've been shown.

 When you're making a large-scale action film that has to showcase, really, the vitality and the size of a major American city -- but also involves a certain amount of disruption to that city in order to make the action appear credible that we want to put on screen, Nolan said he really needs the sort of welcome and cooperation he's found here.

I think the architecture of this city is a very beautiful city on a very impressive scale and yet one which has a community that hasn't lost its human scale. Those are two elements that are extremely hard to find and incredibly valuable to a production like 'The Dark Knight Rises,' where we're really looking to have the architecture of a major American city somewhat disrupted by what we're going to do."
