Your Highness, from the creators of The Pineapple Express consist of James Franco and his screw-up of a brother, Danny McBride venturing to find Franco's Bride (Zooey Deschanel) who has been kidnapped. This dynamic duo turns into a trio when they run into Natalie Portman who assist them on their journey. There are definitely some good laughs in the trailer but I'm truly hoping that the good stuff is yet to come. Check out the trailer here!
Adding to the already building excitement of this year 83rd Annual Academy Awards it has just been announced that James Franco and Anne Hathaway will be co-hosting this years awards! This is pretty epic since I can't seem to recall people this young hosting this historic event.
Having host from our generation will certainly put s new twist on the show and maybe maki it more exciting and funnier than usual. Typically much older and more established actors take on the daunting task of making us care about this painfully long award show. Apparently the Academy thinks Anne and James are up to the challenge according to Oscar telecast producers Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer,
"James Franco and Anne Hathaway personify the next generation of Hollywood icons – fresh, exciting and multi-talented,"I just hope James and Anne can keep me engaged until they finally announce "Best Picture". What do you guys think? Are Franco and Hathaway too young to take on such a classic event??
Oh Jake Gyllenhaal, what can I say... The guy is "dating" Taylor Swift, got to see Anne Hathaway naked and his career just won't slow down. In Source Code brought to us by director Duncan Jones (Moon) Gylenhaal plays a soldier who is implanted into a passenger on a train and must attempt to figure out who blows up the train. But of course, he only has only has 8 minutes each time. During the process of trying to save the people on the train he falls for one of the passengers played by Michelle Monaghan. This Sci-Fi thriller seems like a typical action flick but could turn out to be pretty interesting. Source Code is due out in April 2011. Check out the trailer here! What do you guys think??

This Means War is a new Rom Com that Reese Witherspoon is working on, no big surprise there. However, the guys joining her in this flick may surprise. They are none other than Chris Pine (Captain Kirk) and Tom Hardy (The Forger, and set to play Dr. Hugo Strange in the Dark Night Rises). The movie is being being filmed in chilly Vancouver and is about two friends Pine and Hardy who get into it after they both fall for Reese's character. The film is being directed by McG (Terminator Salvation) and is due out in 2011. Check out some pics from set after the jump!
This super mushy episode about Finn and Kurt's parents getting married certainly took some unexpected turns. The episode definitely got off to a slow start and held off giving us a musical number until about a third of the way into the episode. And maybe rightfully so as the musical numbers in this episode we're a bit lackluster. I did however really enjoy their version of "Marry You". Glee, whether on point or falling behind in the race always finds a way to put a smile on my face and they did just that with the "Marry You" number!
As far as plot is concerned, this episode was pretty damn good! The fight scenes dealing with Karofsky (Kurt's bully) were truly terrifying and full of emotion. Sue stepping down from principal in order to get back to her badass ways was really amusing as well. Lastly, I am really curious to see how the show handles Kurt's transfer to the Prep. school. He's clearly an integral part of Glee Club and it just doesn't work without him. Overall I give the episode a solid B+ for keeping my interest without engaging song selections. So what did you guys think about the episode? And how do you you think they'll get Kurt to come back to McKinley??

Recently Paltrow sat down with hilarious talk show host Chelsea Handler and talked about her new movie Country Strong, a little bit about her family and also revealed that she likes to throw back a few drinks! In Country Strong Paltrow play Kelly Canter who is a big country star with an even bigger substance abuse problem. Handler points out that Gwyneth actually had to stop working out for the role and of course we all respond by hating ourselves! Check out the interview and also the trailer for Country Strong.

So last night the American Music Awards aired on Abc which is basically the same concept as leaving your radio station on top 40 for an hour. The guest list included everyone from Lady Antebellum to Katy Perry with performances from Pink and New Kids On the Block as well as the Backstreet Boys; feeling like it's the late 90's all over again. Despite the impressive and extensive guest list consisting of rising stars as well legends like Santana the big winner at the end of the evening was Biebs. He was nominated for four awards (Pop/Rock Favorite Male Artist, Favorite Album, T-Mobile Breakthrough Artist and Artist of the Year) and took them all! Check out his performance of "Pray" here and a complete list of winners after the jump!

So Disney is hitting us with some serious high school nostalgia, whether you loved prom or hated it the memory never leaves you and Disney is set to capitalize on this. Their recent project Prom serves as an homage to John Hughes 80's teen dramas like 16 Candles and The Breakfast Club. Unfortunately, it looks more like High School Musical minus the musical numbers to distract us from the mundane plot. The cast mainly consist of a bunch of unknowns except for Aimee Teagarden from the NBC hit series Friday Night Lights. The film is due out in April 2011 and will have teens as well as suckers for this kind of stuff (like myself) running out to see it. Check out the trailer here.

Recently, Ryan Kwanten, who plays idiot ex jock Jason Stackhouse on the HBO hit show True Blood talked to reporters about upcoming seasons and also at a time where bullying is running rampant in the gay community, especially among gay teens Kwanten opens up about his gay brother. Kwanten had this to say about his brother,
"My youngest brother, Lloyd, is gay," says the 33-year-old actor. "He's a doctor, so he got every ounce of intelligence in the family. He was probably about 18 when he came out, and I can wholeheartedly tell you that from the day that he did, he was a changed man for the better. The sheer beauty of who he is really came through."
Oh how the memories of my misspent youth of listening to Boy Band music are rushing back. Jesse McCartney has just released the video for hit single "Shake" off of his forthcoming album "Have it All". There's dancing, booties and of course a lot of close up shots of JMac. I hate shit like this, it's such a guilty pleasure. For me it's like that scene with Pacino in the Godfather "Every time I think I'm out, they pull me back in!". Ah well, enjoy the video friends.
It's undeniable that SNL really just hasn't been the same since the absence of Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Jimmy Fallon but every once in a while they strike comedic gold and this, is one of those moments. Recently, the show took some shots at the new action flick from Tony Scott, Unstoppable which stars Denzel Washington, Chris Pine and Rosario Dawson and took in a solid 22 Million at the box office over the past weekend. The parody is stunningly accurate with it's representation of their caricature like depictions of Denzel and Chris. The best parts of the video are by far the spot protrayel of Denzel's laugh and the overexxagerations of Rosario's characters line about the Christler Building.

As the year is winding down everyone is giving us their best of 2010 picks. People Magazine has thrown there list in the mix with their sexiest men of the year. We have a preview of who they've picked and I gotta say, the list is pretty damn good. What I like about the list is that it not only goes on appearance but overall success for the year as well. Some people who made the list include, Drake, Kellan Lutz, Justin Timberlake, Jon Hamm, Matthew Morrison, Jake Gyllenhaal, Ryan Reynolds gracing the cover and few surprises. Check out who all made the list after the jump!
As if Matthew Morrison wasn't popular enough from his role as Glee Club Teacher Will Shuester on Fox's hit show Glee, his photo gracing the cover of the upcoming issue of Details will certainly add to his popularity. Morrison appears on the cover showing off his hard work on his abs (apparently he works just as hard on them as he does his singing voice). In the article Morrison discusses his new found fame with Glee. Here are some excerpts from the article;
"I am a teacher to them," Morrison says of the younger castmates he refers to as "the kids." "I've taken a few under my wing. I don't want to say they idolize me, but..." he trails off, realizing how this might sound. He's careful about what he says and wishes some of his colleagues were a little less publicity-driven. "Yeah, I find myself learning a lot from the set. I do look at stuff people on the show are doing, and I don't judge them, but I question it. I say to myself, keep quiet. Fame, you know, it's like a handgun—in the wrong hands, it's dangerous."Later, Morrison goes on to give his thoughts of a Glee Billbaoard that overlooks the freeway in L.A.,
He looks at me expectantly, and I tell him I enjoyed it and that this is his chance to tell people who he really is. "That's the whole thing," he says after a long pause. "I really don't want them to know anything." We pass a Glee billboard looming over the freeway with Morrison's giant mug grinning down at the onrushing traffic. "So weird, it's so weird," he mutters to himself. And then he smiles. Kind of like on the billboard. Also Matt is working on a solo album that will sound Michael Bubleish that may be released at some point. Morrison takes his celebrity status pretty seriously. He recently recorded a video against bullying for the Trevor Project, a foundation set up for troubled LGBT teens. Check out the video and more pics from the upcoming issue of Details after the jump!
I cannot begin to express how pleasantly surprised I was with this weeks episode of Glee, "The Substitute". At first, I was really apprehensive because the show hasn't been at its best lately and also they were tackling Singing in the Rain which is one of my favorite musicals! But the episode was PERFECT from start to finish. The jokes were executed perfectly the dramatic moments really hit hard and the musical numbers were impeccably chosen and I can't stop listening to them on repeat as they are on my ipod already.
The plot revolved around Mr. Shuester being home sick and substitue Holly Holiday (Gwyneth Paltrow) trying to take over his Glee Club. First of all, leaving Mr. Shue out of this episode for the most part was a fantastic choice being how awful he came off in the Rocky Horror episode. The moments were he was depicted as a Glee Club tyrant rather than director were fantastically funny and when he slips into his old unhealthy relationship with his ex wife Terry who takes advantage of Will in a time of need you feel bad for Will.
Now moving onto our musical numbers. I couldn't have been more happy with the choice for this episode. Gwyneth Paltrow's version of "Forget You" was super fun and her "Umbrella" mash up with Will was genius. She hands down stole the show as the quirky Spanish substitute. Normally, Paltrow plays such melancholy roles but in Glee she reminded me a lot of Cameron Diaz's earlier performances like Something About Mary and Charlie's Angels.
Glee really seems to understand what it does well and I just hope it continues to do so. And with the recent news that they won't be doing a themed episode for their episode airing the Super Bowl is hopefully an indication that the show is back on track! I give the episode a solid A. What do you guys think?? Check out the performance of "Forget You" and "Umbrella/Singing in the Rain" after the break.

Looks like it's that time of year again folks. GQ has released it's Men and one "Babe of the Year" for 2010. And I must say, the list is pretty interesting. Gracing the covers this month are James Franco, Jeff Bridges, Drake, Stephen Colbert and Scarlett Johansson. Now granted they all have had a pretty big year but do you guys think anyone else should have been one the cover for this honor? At least GQ covered a lot of ground with choosing such an eclectic group of individuals. So which one will you guys be picking up off the shelves?? Check out the covers after the jump!
A few weeks back I finally heard Jesse McCartney's version of "Bleeding Love" the song made popular by Leona Lewis. Now I'm sure most of you knew that orginally the song was his but he found it a better fit for Leona. Now while I do love Jesse I defintely have to agree. He just can't belt it out and give the song feeling like Lewis does.
Recently, I came across the same thing with Pink and Adam Lambert for Lambert's hit song "What Do You Want From Me?". Pink actually co-wrote the song that was meant for her 2008 album Funhouse. Now this was it was a lot harder for me to make my decision, especially because I'm such a huge fan of Pink and her talent. In the end however I have to get it to Lambert. Pink's version just seems to fall flat in comparison. In the situation where the same song it done by different we typically like hte one we hear first, solely because that's what we're use to. So what do you guys think of my little theory? And of course leave some comments about which versions you liked better or if you didn't like any of them! Check out all the versions after the jump.

I really enjoyed Rihanna and Drake teaming up for their single "What's My Name" and from the lyrics of the song I was expecting a pretty raunchy video and surprisingly got nothing close to that! The video actually leaves a lot to the imagination and is kind of, dare I say it... sweet. The two have great chemistry which is probably due to the fact that the pair once dated. I've gotta say even though the "What's My Name" video was far from what I was expecting I was pretty happy with the end result. There is something charming about it that wouldn't have came across if they would have went all sexy on us like a Maroon 5 video (not that there's anything wrong with that!). So what do you guys think of the video?
As if Glee wasn't enough of a Pop Culture Juggernaut, it's stars are now shutting down entire countries! Well at least one is. Over the weekend Corey Monteith (Finn) hosted the 25th Annual Gemini Awards. The award show celebrates the finest in Canadian television entertainment (So basically Canada's version of the Emmy's). In the past hit shows like Degrassi have been honored. In typical Glee fashion Monteith danced and played the drums. Oh, and in case you guys didn't know Moneith is Canadian.

Thanks to the Pittsburgh Film Office I was fortunate enough to get an invite to the Unstoppable premier right here in Pittsburgh, Pa where nearly the entire thing was filmed! And let me tell you this definitely one wild ride! I went into the film with actually minimal expectations, this isn't topically the kind of film I'd be into. The film starts off slow with smart ass young Will Coleson (Chris Pine) exchanging snarky dialog with equally snippy Frank (Denzel Washington) who is being forced out by the train company. On a seemingly typical first day on the job will finds himself in quite the situation when two goofs make the HUGE mistake of letting a train loose holding tons of explosive chemicals. When all options are exhausted it's up to Will and Frank to stop stop this runaway train.
Now granted there isn't much to the plot:
A )Runaway train, B) No way to stop it, C) Two guys that have a plan to stop it.
However, the ways the scenes are cut between Will and Frank's banter about their troubled lives and the train reeking havoc on a small town in Southern, PA is fantastic and adds mass amounts of tension. And all the cheesy lines that Rosario spouts out in the trailer like "a missile the size of the Christler building actually come off quite compelling in the actual film.
In the end, I was surprised at how on the edge of my seat I was during the majority of the movie. I was also surprised how much I cared about what happened to these characters with only having a short glimpse into their lives. Tony Scott's signature film style shines though and adds a great look to this extraordinary event. All in all, Unstoppable is simplistic and that's what is great about it. So I give it a B-. If you guys check it out this weekend when it opens leave some comments saying what you thought!

A while back many of us were under the assumption that the new addition McKinley High's Glee Club Sam (Chord Overstreet) was going to end up being Kurts love interest this season. Well creator ryan Murphy certainly threw us a curveball. Surprise! Glee may have another member added to it's cast in the form of Prep Schooler Blaine (Darren Criss). In the latest episode "Never Been Kissed" Blaine and Kurt meet when Kurt gets caught spying on Blaine's Prep Schools Glee club who is their competition in the upcoming Glee Club Sectionals. However, Kurt epically fails in his spy role and the two chat it up. And it turns out what they end up talking about is being gay. Blaine originally ended up at the Prep school in order to escape prejudice at his former school. The twosomes relationship is slowly growing and it'll be interesting to see if it goes anywhere. Which very well could be the case since it's all being reported that the producers of the show may want his character to return on a regular basis. By the way, what did you guys think of Darren's performance of "Teenage Dream" and the episode in general? Are you all still aboard the Glee Train or is your stop approaching??
So it seems as though that not everyone is excited about the american version of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Recently, Swedish director Niels Arden had a few things to say about David Fincher's remake featuring Rooney Mara. Arden recently told Word and Film,
"the Sony PR machine" is brushing aside Noomi Rapace's portrayal of hacker Lisbeth Salander in an effort to make Rooney Mara - who has the part in David Fincher's remake - the definitive actress in the role.
That's highly unfair because Noomi has captured this part and it should always be all her. That’s her legacy in a way I can't see anyone competing."Now I've read the book and watched the Swedish version and thought that Noomi was incredible. However, that's not to say that Rooney isn't up to the challenge. Although it was for brief moments I really enjoyed Mara's banter with Jesse Eisenberg in Fincher's The Social Network this Fall. One also can't deny the fact that Hollywood tends to bleed things dry so it's no surprise that this remake is being done at the height of the Swedish versions success with it's books and films.
There is definitely a part of me that agrees with Arden's statement; However, in the interview he continues on about the subject and just sounds plain arrogant when he proceeds to say,
"I hope she gets nominated for an Oscar. I know a lot of Academy members have seen the film and liked it because every time I go to LA I meet so many people who have seen my version of it."Wow, now that's just condescending my friend. What do you guys think about Arden's harsh words about the upcoming remake of the Girl with The Dragon Tattoo?

Team Coco members were glued to their televisions last night for the 11 pm return of Conan O'Brien on TBS. For those of you who by chance missed this epic event, Conan's first guests were the super funny Seth Rogen and Lea Michele from Glee. The new set is quite simple, consisting of two chairs, the stage, Conan's desk and a huge moon back drop that looks straight out of a high school theater production. However, I think this serves the purpose of the show really well by presenting no distractions from our entertainment which is the reason we watch anyway. I personally thought Conan's return to late night was fantastic and look forward to more. He's a perfect example of someone who turned a shitty situation into something great! What did you guys think of the first episode? Also check out the opening sketch here to help make up your mind if you didn't catch Conan's return!

So I ABSOLUTELY love these two and just had the realization that I should share some news about the new Daddy Duo with you all. Most of you already know Neil Patrick Harris from various projects like How I Met Your Mother, The Harold and Kumar movies and some of you may have even checked out the quirky Dr. Horrible's Sing Along that went viral over the web. However, a lot of you may not know much about his partner David Burtka. Burtka has dabbled in some acting, mainly musical roles such Tulsa in the production of Gypsy in 2003 and Matt in the Opposite of Sex in 2004 and more recently a stint on How I Met Your Mother which is how his and Harris' relationship came to the forefront after much speculation as to how Burtka got the role on the show. Burtka and Harris have been together since 2004 and had twins via a surrogate mother just last month. Harris was elated and reported the news of the new members of their family via twitter,
“Gideon Scott and Harper Grace entered the Burtka-Harris fold. All of us are happy, healthy, tired, and a little pukey.”Most recently, Burtka being a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts School, Pasadena set acting aside and decided to open a catering business called Gourmet M.D. Check out some pics of the new dad's running some errands in L.A. The two active guys definitely seem to be fitting into their new roles just fine!

Despite the fact that this raunchy romantic comedy isn't coming out until next Summer a trailer has already been released for Friends with Benefits starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis. The plot entails Timberlake and Kunis two close friends who decide that sex, is nothing more than a mere "physical activity, like tennis" and decide to have sex with no strings attached. As usual, this concept can tend to get pretty messy. But odds are we all know how this will end. Justin will say something ridiculously mushy and win Kunis over after inevitably breaking her heart. Ah well, at least it looks fun. And the film also includes Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson and Andy Samberg.
|Love and Other drugs Premiere|
With the release of their upcoming movie Love and Drugs, Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway hit the red carpet. Although the film from director Edward Zwick ( The Last Samurai, Blood Diamond) has some big stars it definitely has an independent feel to it. Maybe that has something to do with it being filmled on location in Pittsburgh. Filming outside of a studio feels raw and real and is becoming more of a trend in Hollywood filmmaking. Now when I saw the first trailer for the film I wasn't really wowed recently I came across an alternate trailer of Love and Other Drugs that was WAY better . What I like about the other trailer is that it actually elicits some emotion from us. The first one left me feeling empty and Anne Hathaway came off SUPER bitchy and unlikable and Jake Gyllenhaal came off toolish at best. Albeit I'm not ready to say this thing is an oscar contender or that I'll even head out to catch in in theaters but I will say, I'm intrigued and certainly interested in seeing Jake Gyllenhaal as a money hungry pharmaceutical rep who falls for the one girl who he just can't have. Check out both trailers here after the jump. Which do you like more and even more importantly will you go see this??

It's certainly going to be hard to follow up her Oscar winning film The Hurt Locker but Kathryn Bigelow's next project sounds like she might be headed in the right direction. The film, entitled Tiple Frontier/ Sleepless Dogs about drug trafficking will be set on the borders of Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil. Filming is set to begin in January. The film is an ensemble project and unlike her last project Bigelow is fishing for some big names for this movie. So far the likes Tom Hanks, Will Smith, Johnny Depp and Mark Wahlberg have all been mentioned. Triple Frontier will supposedly have the same vibe as Steven Soderberg's Traffic. One thing we do know however is that Bigelow will again be teaming up with writer Mark Boal who worked with Bigelow on The Hurt Locker. I definitely think that Bigelow has the potential to continue to give us great work I just don't know about using big names for the project. Her casting of a bunch of basically unknowns (minus Jeremy Renner) was a good call and possible a formula she should stick with. What do you guys think about Bigelow's new project?? Can she strike gold twice??
This new film from Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen) and starring Emily Browning and Vanessa Hudgens looks badass! The plot revolves around a young girl (Browning) who is institutionalized by her horrendous stepfather and in order to cope creates herself an alternate reality in which to escape her harsh reality. There is no denying that this looks like a typical blockbuster however I definitely think it'll be worthwhile and potentially carry over from the big screen to the small screen much like Sin City. Now the film isn't due out until March 2011 however, it may be shown before Due Date with Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianiakas this weekend. What do you guys think, will you go get sucker punched??
So what if it's a cover song, it's still music from Amy Winehouse! In her version of "It's My Party" produced by the legendary Quincy Jones, Winehouse belts out sad sounding vocals that leave you with that feeling that it's the 1950's all over gain. I must say that I for one have missed her talent she has this incredible voice that just pierces you. Hopefully this is a sign that there is more good music of her own to come! What do you guys think of the song? Are you, just like me, wanting more from Winehouse??

With the holiday seasons almost upon us, 2010 will rapidly be coming to a close so I thought it only fitting to give you guys a Top 10 List. It's been a big year thus far, with intelligent blockbusters like Inception and The Social Network hitting the big screen, Taylor Swift's newest album, Speak Now selling over a million copies but most importantly, it's been a year of wonderfully bushy beards! It all started earlier in the year when Zac Efron began rocking a ridiculously manly beard while promoting his flick Charlie Saint Cloud. There's just something about a beard and flannel that it seriously making a comeback in 2010! Check out who made my list after the jump!

With November upon this years Oscar race is really heating up! This years buzzworthy films thus far include Inception, The Kids Are Alright, Another Year, Black Swan, The Fighter, True Grit, The Social Network, The King's Speech, Toy Story 3 and 127 Hours. It turns out Love and Other Drugs starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway that was suppose to have some steam going into the race has fizzled out and fallen flat. I'm also a little surprised that Welcome to the Riley's isn't being talked about. Check out an overview of each film after the jump. So which films did you see so far and what are your thoughts? Also, are any of these films debatable or are all they all worthy of the Academy's time?
Morning Glory a new film from director Roger Michell (Notting Hill, Changing Lanes) ask the age old question, can women really have it all? The career, the house with the white picket fence and the family?? As someone striving for this exact picture perfect package I'm slowly coming to realization that this isn't as easy and Tina Fey and Amy Poeler make it seem. Although this idea of women having the career they've always dreamed of is becoming more acceptable it doen't mean it's any easier to achieve. It constantly feels as though you're being pulled in a million different directions and someone, including yourself at times, ends up getting the short end of the stick. What do you guys think about this issue? While the movie looks mediocre at best, the issues behind it are what's important and it's great to see Rachel McAdams back on the big screen! Morning Glory is due out Nov. 10. Check out the trailer and movie poster after the jump!
